There are many rumors or misconceptions that get spread surrounding cars and auto repair. While some of them can be true, many of them are not valid. Today, we are here to set the record straight with some automotive myth-busting. Myth 1: Inflate your tires to the number shown on the tire sidewall. When most people go to fill up their tires, they need to know how much to fill them. They often look at their tires for guidance. Unfortunately, the numbers on the sidewall are the maximum pressure your tires can hold, not the optimal psi. You can look at your owner's handbook or the driver's door jamb sticker for optimal pressure levels. Myth 2: Premium fuel boosts performance.
